Signing of a Letter of Intent on Collaboration Between GlySpace Alliance, HGA, and J-GlycoNet

On January 17, 2025, GlySpace Alliance, HGA, and J-GlycoNet signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at Soka University. The signing was attended by Professor Nicolle Packer (Macquarie University), Dr. Kenji Kadomatsu (iGOCRE Director, Human Glycome Project Representative, J-GlycoNet Head), and Dr. Nishihara and Dr. Kinoshita from Soka University’s GaLSIC, which has contributed to GlySpace Alliance.

At the preceding GaLSIC Symposium, Dr. Kadomatsu discussed the potential of glycan research—the “third chain of life” alongside nucleic acids and proteins—to unveil biological mysteries. He highlighted HGA’s efforts in human glycan analysis, automated analytical tools, and the knowledge base TOHSA, stressing the importance of collaboration with GlySpace Alliance.
